The Stein Line is a reader-supported newsletter, with both free and paid subscriptions available, and those who opt for the paid edition are taking an active role in the reporting by providing vital assistance to bolster my independent coverage of the league. Feel free to forward this post to family and friends interested in the NBA and please consider becoming a paid subscriber to have full access to all of my posts.
Normally the recordings from my Spotify Live sessions are only forwarded after the fact to full-fledged subscribers to The Stein Line. Today, though, is a challenging Saturday for hoop fans everywhere, with no NBA games on the schedule because not a single first-round series was extended to a Game 7.
So we’re turning the chat into a podcast available for free to all.
The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor was kind enough to interrupt his rare afternoon off to meet me in a Spotify Live room for some serious NBA talk. We discussed numerous teams and issues and playoff matchups, took tons of listener questions and basically went full hoop nerd for more than an hour to try to shorten the wait for Sunday’s games at least somewhat.
Instead of scribbling out the usual breakdown of everything we covered … just trust me. There’s a lot here. And I suspect you will enjoy it.
