Around-the-league notes on a Sunday?
Can't follow up with the usual as it should be when these are going out on a Sunday night rather than in daylight hours ... but we were determined to make this regularly scheduled leaguewide discussion happen despite some untraditional (and far-flung) travel for this time of year that we'll expound on in Monday's TWIB column.
One stat to ponder first with Minnesota visiting Dallas in a critical Game 3 in the Western Conference finals after losing the first two games at home by a combined four points: The Timberwolves, Mavericks and Boston Celtics entered Sunday's play at a combined 16-3 on the road in these playoffs.
The other 13 playoff teams, meanwhile, have combined to go 14-40 on the road.
