NBA Trade Deadline: One month away

The NBA trade deadline is officially one month away.

So allow me to share all the best chatter I heard over the weekend, all in one place, after a brief announcement:

The response to Saturday's This Week In Basketball column was tremendous — reminiscent of the high interest in everything I posted in relation to the trade deadline last January. Management (as in me) has thus decided, after careful deliberation, that the monthly price for The Stein Line is temporarily rising to $8 for new subscribers … effective from now through the trade deadline.

The usual $5 monthly fee that I have employed for 18 months is the lowest allowed on the Substack platform. And I will return to $5 per month for new subscribers in mid-February. But this is a measure I am instituting going forward for the heaviest transaction months in #thisleague (May and June as well leading into free agency) because this kind of NBA information is clearly the most valued, remains an undeniable bargain at $8 for those who are only dropping in for a month and also ranks as the most labor-intensive for your humble correspondent to obtain.
