Games this preseason are taking place as close to home as possible for NBA teams, but plans to resume the league's longstanding practice of staging exhibitions abroad are already in the works

The NBA’s 2021-22 exhibition schedule spans 66 games. Sixty-four of them, in the league's third season combating a global pandemic, were scheduled to be played in the same NBA arenas where teams always play.
