The Oasis documentary Supersonic is very good for anyone who is interested. It will be fascinating to see how their reunion goes. Their bangers hold up well, so hopefully they'll be fun live.
Related, if I may indulge in some self-promotion, I recently released the first single and video off my new record that will be out on Nov. 1. If you're still a dreamer, this one is for you.
Also, everyday I wake up, I keep waiting for someone in the Lakers organization to say:
"To...day...is gonna be the day...that we're (gonna have a trade to do)..." πΆ
Alas, can you believe that we got Oasis getting back together before the Lakers make a trade?!?! Oooof. π€¦ββοΈ
Kudos to the Gallaghers for making amends. Look forward to reading about them in a future column. Thanks for this entertaining one to help capture some of the Wonder(wall)s of the world. π
When some enterprising individual wants to follow in your footsteps, sure hope they know you've set the bar high. They better at least have good arch support, at least. π π
And that reminds me, I know you've talked about your favorite basketball sneaker, but have you ever talked about your favorite walking shoe and true tennis shoe?!
For walking/running, I've always been a Brooks brand guy. Need all the support I can get, and their Glycerine models have never steered me wrong. Never had a designated tennis shoe, though. When I played, I just wore my normal walking shoes. π
I have also had arch support issues, so for running, I typically bought Asics or whatever was recommended to me by my local running shoe store (they'd actually order me arch support insoles as well). I did my feet no favors, though, with my casual wear shoes and skate-boarding shoes.. lol.. wore a lot of Vans, as well as shoes like the Adidas Superstar and Sam Smiths.. just awful for my feet.
Favorite tennis shoe? Nike Mac Attack (1985) followed closely by the Air Trainer 2 (1987). I wrote all about the Mac Attack's long-awaited comeback last year (I think).
I think in that era, I wore the Fila's (T-1's). I loved the look and the comfort. I was never a big Nike fan until the Oscilate and the Flare came out in '94-95. I still have a classic black on white pair of Flares. A good friend of mine bought the Lava Tech's (the classic Agassi design) and I thought it was just so busy. lol.

Excellent work, Dave! Catchy song and stimulating visuals. Big recommendation from me!!! π
"Far away...not lonely..." πΆπΆπΆ
Could serve as an unofficial anthem to Marc's Travelogues, too.
He's far away, but we're always here in this joyride together... πππ
Thanks, Koby, for the kind words and making time to listen! Love the "unofficial anthem" idea! We are indeed in this joyride together...

Air Trainer 1. Air Trainer ONE. 2 was a typo ...
