Why does the NBA seem to shy away from finals rematches on opening day/Christmas Day headliners? Too few inter conference match ups to make the schedule work? Or is it some other faux pas?
It was often a Finals rematch … and then they started going away from that without explanation … and my complaints in print (like last Christmas) did nothing. So I don’t think they’re listening to those of us who expected Celtics at Warriors on Sunday. They’re also actively trying to reduce travel leaguewide. So I’m sure they’d tell us that a Finals rematch works counter to that mission.

I’d watch basketball over football any day - especially if it’s good basketball vs. bad football. Obviously I’m in the minority.
Right there with you, Ron.
