It is, at once, the biggest stage in the sport and the last hurdle to another frenzied offseason for the basketball masses. The dirty secret about these (and every) NBA Finals: 28 fan bases have largely moved on.
The only reason you included the WNBA is to make that stat relevant. The WNBA is not a league on its own. Is a dependant. To say that the WNBA is on par as a major professional sports league is bafoonery. If it wasnt for the NBA subsidizing it...it would not exist on its own. And that is no shot at them bc they are women. Its just a business fact.
First off your comment isnt in the same ballpark (double entendre). The stadiums arent opened to support a possible business they are subsidized to an EXISTING business for the benefit of jobs and other development. A business that pays for itself AND the stadium via jobs and taxes and other development. The WNBA is subsidized by the NBA to EXIST! Good try tho. NEXT!
As a Twin Cities resident, I’m mildly offended with the St. Paul and Minneapolis erasure by your referring to Minnesota as a city. Do we Timberwolves fans not suffer enough already?

Because no other leagues receive subsidies to exist? How in the world do most arenas/stadiums get built?

Stick it up your arse, Stein!
Is there any source with Kawhi's knee and his future?
