Hi Marc ..... With the success of Ime Udoka as Boston's coach, my thoughts turn to who the "next Udoka" might be. I believe Adrian Griffin is that guy. Like Udoka, he's worked with a coach who has built a culture (N. Nurse in Toronto) and I feel like Griffin shares many of the characteristics that are making Udoka successful. Do you have any thoughts on Griffin? I think he'd work really well in Charlotte.

Not gonna be easy for anyone to match the Year 1 success and impact Udoka has hadbecause first-time coaches usually don't get to coach teams with playoff talent. What's so great about Ime's first season is that no one was especially high on Boston's prospects halfway through the season and he still steered them to new heights. He's really done an amazing job and is getting almost no shine for it. Didn't make it as a COY finalist in the media vote and got no COY votes from his peers in the coaches' own vote.

So true Marc. I was very impressed by the fact that he had his team aggressively pursue the #2 seed even though he knew Brooklyn was going to be the first round opponent. It was a very significant statement about building a culture, which he no doubt understood from his years working with pop in San Antonio.

How about Ryan Arcidiacono as former Wright-coached 'Nova players in the NBA this season?

I didn't list all of them. Arcidiacono is indeed on the list.

Agreed on MIP award.

You left Harden off the injury list. I mean he can't really be full strength can he? Did Morey really trade our last chip for a non all star? We could have had budding all star Halliburton and picks and tried to swing a deal in the off-season if wanted. Please tell me that my intuition is right, that he just needs a good off-season program to strengthen that hammy.

Side note .. will we ever see Embiid healthy in the playoffs? And though I agree on stuffing all these games hasn't helped injuries and a shortened season is important, especially for having stars not sit, I think silver is correct there probably isn't any proof that a shortened season will help.

I didn't put Harden on the injury list because he hasn't missed a game yet ... but ... yeah. He just doesn't look right and I think I've been asking the same question since the moment the trade went down: Kudos to Daryl Morey for getting his guy, when so many know-it-alls like me thought he wouldn't be able to pull it off until the offseason, but did he want the right guy? The concern is only rising given Harden's level of effectiveness as a Sixer so far.
