Timberwolves and Thunder in the top 5, Magic and Kings in the top 10. Love it! Out with the old, in with the new....

Agree with Boston on top despite Philly being such a close second. Boston is still my Eastern Conference favorite. They have not played their best yet -- and Porzingis has, not surprisingly, drifted somewhat since the hot start -- but they’re still managing to win games. As this group accumulates more playing time together, look out.

As for the Mavs: they have become utterly predictable. The loss to the Clippers over the weekend was pathetic. It’s also ironic that their offense-or-bust identity has been upstaged thus far (at least as far as watchability goes) by none other than Coach Carlisle.

Nice to see some new teams succeeding at the quarter point. Looks like Miami made the right call on not trading for Beal. Nice to see the clippers struggling so. Are you not entertained?

Having watched all, or almost all, of the Bulls games, I'm disappointed that you didn't just put a picture of a literal dumpster fire as your team analysis

There are too many things to list, but the most glaring for me are: poor ball movement especially in the 4th quarter, defensive breakdowns from poor communication/lack of effort, no rebounding. There is a disappointingly lack of fundamentals in most of the "stars" (which is a lot of what I watch basketball for). Alex Caruso and Coby White seem to be the few bright sides. Management seems to be the only ones who don't seem to realize they need to blow up the big 3, but management brought them into this quagmire....so I don't trust them with a rebuild.

Frank Vogel...Monty Williams...Quin Snyder...Mike Budenholzer..Nick Nurse...Mike Brown...Darvin Ham...Will Hardy.

Chicago could tear it down but this might be the one team where it makes sense to replace the coach. Donovan continues to coach a style that doesn't match the roster. Patrick Williams and Coby White developed much too slowly.

And then there's management, AKME sat on their hands for two drafts, two trade deadlines and two summers of free agents waiting for Lonzo Ball to rise and walk, and all the Bulls could come up with was Javon Carter and Torrey Craig. No way this regime is going to get a decent return for Zach, Vucevic or DeRozan.

Nineteen teams are playing .500 ball or better and ten teams are playing .600 ball or better. I'm enjoying the competitive balance.

Almost any given night I can turn on a game and be entertained by the product. Agreed that it feels like the level of talent in the NBA right now has led to an enjoyable competitive balance, especially in the Western Conference.

Yes! I hope the balance holds.
