Maybe Jerry West? Doubt it will be Jordan, he is a current owner, and I'd name the scoring leader award for him. Looks like it will be Stern.

Give me a Kareem MVP trophy. MJ is a governor. That’s the ultimate trophy.

Plus, I feel like the impact of Kareem’s career lessens with each generation. Once LeBron passes him on the scoring list, there needs to be another way to honor Kareem for all future generations.

There must be a corporate group at the NBA that does award rebrands, and now we’ll just have continuous rebrands so they can justify their existence. Kinda like when a company gets big enough to have a team that handles office moves - from then on there’s always a “next move” scheduled.

The KAJ MVP Award would be cool. Though I feel as naming all these awards after players feels a bit much but that's clearly where they want to go. Also, the new MVP trophy doesn't look as prestigious as before.
