Hey Marc, I think it’s fair to panic about the Lakers. Our coaching woes on offense are growing more evident by the day. 3 years in, we still can’t figure out how to consistently beat double teams of Anthony Davis.

It’s the main reason I kept pushing to see if we hired an offensive-minded assistant, which we didn’t. On a recent “Backstage Lakers,” it was revealed that Fizdale has been put in charge of the offense and in-game adjustments, despite him never having that role in any of his previous stops.

All of this is evident in the 3rd quarters, where we have been outscores by 89+ points so far this season. Teams routinely are making halftime adjustments that we have no answer for. It’s one thing if it was a Miami or a Golden State doing that; but that’s also happening with bad teams like OKC, Minnesota, & the Spurs. Even the players have taken thinly-veiled shots at Vogel in post-game press conferences.

People, like me, have cited injuries and fatigue with a stretched out roster as a reason for their woes. But, 15 games in, what cannot be denied is that offensively, our coaching staff is overmatched. If we can barely beat the Bad teams, and get killed by the good teams, the ceiling for team is a first round exit. 😵‍💫😫

Worse, I don’t know how the team is going to fix these coaching woes. They’ve been evident for three years now on offense, and it seems like the entire league has figured out what to do to exploit them. Without any counters, it seems like Vogel is on the hot seat, with rumblings getting louder by the game.

Seems impossible to me, but if the rumors in “the streets” are indicative of anything, the change will come sooner rather than later because the players are just as frustrated.

If anybody knows any good offensive minds that would like to do consulting, have them send in their resume to the Lakers, won’t you, please?!?! 😕😞
