Chris Haynes and I dropped a new podcast Friday covering the busy end to the NBA's 2022-23 trade season. Give it a listen to get all the latest insider intel
I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but I find listening to podcasts a waste of time. In the time it takes to listen to one podcast, one can read a dozen pieces that waste fewer words.
Isn’t the recent evidence pretty strongly against these “all-in for the championship” super trades working?
The times it seems to have worked out:
Jrue Holiday to Bucks and (initially) AD to Lakers
The times it hasn’t worked:
Butler to Minny, Butler to Philly, Harden to Brooklyn, Russ to Houston, Russ to Lakers, Paul George to Thunder, Paul George to Clippers (thus far, and it’s already been awhile.) And (thus far) Harden to Philly.
It seems like paying for a star’s contract at full value doesn’t usually work out, right?
Any Atlanta related material in this episode? - sincerely, the last dozen Hawks fans

I deplore this "more podcasts" trend.
