Amid the constant trade talk and free agency chatter out there, let's make sure to keep one eye on the generational talent who is hours away from becoming an NBA player
Thank you for the perspective on Wemby--he looks exciting and I wish him the best. I’m also wondering why people so seldom mention that no player (as far as I know) at 7’4” and over hasn’t had significant mobility issues after just a few years.
Probably because there's no point in mentioning it because everybody already knows that his upside comes with a "health permitting" tag. Literally everyone I've heard talk about him acknowledges that his build could present problems. But his injury history so far is not extensive and there's no concrete information to work with to predict what will go wrong and when - so beyond a certain point it's pointless to keep harping on it. Also it's just more fun to get excited about what could go right than to predict doom and gloom. For some anyway. Lots of people seem to enjoy predicting the worst.

It's so cool to see the pics of Wemby at Newark. What an amazing time for him to begin his NBA journey.
