This week's Tuesday Newsletter Extravaganza contains my explanation, as promised, for why Milwaukee's Allen should have been suspended for more than one game for his reckless foul on Alex Caruso
More Mavs coverage, please? Are they going to make a trade before the deadline? Should they? I'm torn because I don't want to give up Finney-Smith and maybe even Dwight Powell or Josh Green. Brunson I think is leaving anyway, so he's fair game. And while I love Kleber, I think they could include him without crippling what's going on now.
Historic comment, Manuel. I think it's the first time it has been suggested to me that I haven't written enough about the Mavs. Promise there will be more as we get closer to the deadline.
I agree. Way too light a suspension! And not just saying that because it happened to my favorite son, Alex Caruso! (😢)
Just further green lighting more of this behavior to happen. I don’t think he did it on purpose, but it’s notable that this happens against a conference rival who, at the time, was the #1 seed. Losing Caruso really cripples their perimeter defense, now that Lonzo is out, too.
Even 3 games seems light to me. I would push for 10 games, but maybe that would get pushback from the players association.

Ten games? Remind me not to get on your bad side.
